Weight Loss Tips

I’m Mike Koyle, the Services Director at Lifespring, and I wanted to share a bit of my personal experience with weight loss injections, since I’m on the same journey myself.

I started on a 2.5 mg dose of tirzepatide each week. In my first month, I only lost 2 lbs., which I was okay with—better than gaining, right? But the real progress didn’t kick in until around month three.

What has made the biggest difference for me has been calorie counting. I’ve tried it in the past, but with the GLP-1 medication, it’s been much easier to stick with because I’m not constantly thinking about food. I use MyFitnessPal to track everything, and one feature I love is that my daily calorie goal adjusts as I lose weight. If you haven’t already, I’d definitely recommend trying out an app like that… it’s been super helpful for me.

I do experience some nausea, especially the day after my injection, but I’ve learned to just power through it. If it becomes too much, we do have anti-nausea meds that we can prescribe to help manage it.

Overall, I’m really happy with my progress so far… 20 lbs. down in about 6.5 months.

Thanks again for trusting us with your care. If you ever have any questions or just want to chat, feel free to reach out to me directly.

All the best,
Mike Koyle
